Calculators

What it costs to have your event understood in several languages

Two calculators, no form, no email. The first compares against human interpretation; the second tells you how many hours to buy.

The assumption that matters most: two interpreters per language

A simultaneous interpreter cannot work alone for more than twenty or thirty minutes at a stretch — the industry norm is that they work in relieving pairs. So a day in three languages is not three interpreters, it is six. That doubling decides most budgets, which is why the calculator applies it by default. Turn it off if it does not apply to you.
