About SCAPTION

SCAPTION turns what is said on a stage into translated captions, as it is said. It is a desktop app for AV operators, for Windows and for Mac. It sends the captions out as a transparent NDI source, as an HDMI signal, or to any screen with a browser.

Attendees can also follow the event on their own phone, in their own language. No app to install, no account, and no charge per attendee.

Why it exists

Human interpreters and booths are expensive and do not reach every event. We want any room, conference, congregation or company to be understood by everyone in it.

Who is behind it

SCAPTION was founded by Luis Miguel Burgaz Olmeda, who runs it as a sole trader from Zaragoza, Spain. We serve customers across the European Union and internationally.

How we treat your data

Spoken text is stored in one place only: the optional AI Summary, and it is deleted after 30 days. The details are in our Trust & compliance page and our Privacy Policy.
